DIVISION GUIDELINES AND WEIGHTS
CHOOSE THE RIGHT DIVISION
Respect the divisions. Respect the work.
We are looking to make a fun and competitive throw down at The Farm Jam but that only works if teams enter the right division for their current level of fitness. It’s not just about who stands on the podium. It’s about honour and making sure everyone’s tested, challenged, and able to enjoy the day.
Use the guide below to figure out where your team fits best.
The listed weights and movements assume you can hit 5–8 solid reps, not just grind out a 1RM. This helps us create workouts that flow well and keep the comp fun and competitive for all divisions.
We won’t ask for muscle-ups, handstand walks, or HSPUs in any division — this is functional fitness at its core.
CHOOSING YOUR DIVISION
Use the info below to choose the division that’s right for you. These are functional fitness standards based on consistent performance, not your one-rep max or what you used to lift.
EVERYDAY DIVISION
Your first comp or still finding your feet? This one's for you.
This is our entry-level division — perfect for everyday gym-goers who want to throw down, connect with their crew, and get a feel for the comp scene without the pressure of heavy weights or elite movement standards.
Who belongs here:
You scale workouts at your gym often or always
You’ve never done a fitness comp, or just a couple for fun
You train 1–3 times a week
You don’t work in the fitness industry
You’re here for a challenge and a good time, not the leaderboard
Not for:
Coaches, PTs, gym owners, or high-level athletes
Anyone who’s podiumed in intermediate or higher divisions
Filling last-minute gaps in your team with higher-level ring-ins
Using injury as a reason to enter down a division
Top 5 finishers in this division should be moving up next time. Stay hungry, but keep it fair.
INTERMEDIATE DIVISION
You’re not new here. You’ve trained for this. Time to test it.
This division is for people who take their training seriously and want to compete.
Who belongs here:
You rarely scale workouts
You train 3–5 times a week with structure and intent
You’ve competed before or podiumed in an Everyday-style comp
You come from a sport or fitness background
You’re a coach, PT, or seasoned mover
You’ll see similar movements to Elite, just with lighter weights and slightly more forgiving pacing.
ELITE DIVISION
This division is for top-tier athletes. If you’re dialled in across the board, and you’re ready to go all in, this is your paddock.
Who belongs here:
You never scale workouts
You train 4–6 days a week, year-round
You’re hitting RX+ weights, regularly
You’ve podiumed in Intermediate or higher at past comps
You can hit movements like TTB and rope climbs comfortably under fatigue
Elite isn’t just about big numbers — it’s about complete performance across all domains.
FINAL NOTE ON FAIRNESS
The Farm Jam team reserves the right to move teams between divisions if necessary to protect the integrity of the comp.
If you're entering for fun, do it honestly. If you’re chasing the top spot, make sure you belong there. Either way, pick the lane that reflects where you’re really at — so everyone gets a fair crack, and the Jam stays legit.
Got questions? DM us or email team@thefarmjam.com — we’ll help you figure it out.
